Small Business Grants: Mustering Strength from All Sectors for Economic Stability

The total resident population for the entire nation has reached more than 312 million this year. Out of this number around 13 million are unemployed wherein more than 7 million are men and less than 6 million are women. Although the unemployment rate has improved from 9.4% in December 2010 to 8.5% in December 2011 this only means more than 1 million men have gained jobs in the last 12 months while around 200 thousand women have been employed. This only goes to show that those who have availed of small business grants for women made a wise decision in searching for better income sources other than employment.

In 2010, 18.6% of persons with disability were able to get employed. In the same manner, those with higher educational attainment proved to get employed over those who do not. However, those who were without disability are most likely to get hired over those who have. For this reason, availing of Small Business Government Grants for Disabled became an even smarter move for persons with disability. They do not only gain a source of income but a more stable source as well.

In the same way, those who availed of Small Business Government Grants for Hispanics are also ensured of better income these coming years. In 2010, 14% of the population in a survey of 18 years and older were Hispanics. 36% of the Hispanic population did not finish high school while 30% did. However, this figures do not hinder many Hispanics from availing of good sources of income. With the small businesses they own they can fair better than most people who earned a bachelor’s degree.

The competition in getting employed has become even steeper. These days, those seeking jobs have more to think about aside from sexual, physical and racial discrimination. With modern technology and innovative ways in doing business, education has become an important determinant in getting a job. However, even with low academic backgrounds many people from different sectors are able to add some strength to the economy through the small businesses that they operate. And with more stable sources of income from small businesses, the status of the economy will also stabilize faster.
